Stuart Armstrong

Level 3 Hockey Coach, England Hockey National Age Group Academy Coach and Sainsbury’s School Games Coach, England Hockey National Coach Developer

I have been researching and working in children’s sport, youth sport and grass roots sport for the majority of my working life. I believe that the creation of amazing sports experiences is central to the growth of any sport and that coaches are pivotal to this process.

Becoming an expert talent development coach is my life’s goal and passing this knowledge on to help develop other coaches is a genuine passion. I am a National Age Group Talent Development Coach at England Hockey working with some of the top U16 and U18 players in the country.

I was recently at the Sainsbury’s School Games as one of the coaching team with one of the England Teams represented at the event. I am also a coach developer for England Hockey delivering coach development workshops on Engaging Games for Children and Coaching for Talent.

Last year I delivered 15 workshops and was in front of over 250 coaches. I have a pretty popular blog at where I provide articles and courses for parents and coaches on subjects related to talent development.
My email list is over 750 and I have 2030 Twitter followers (and counting!).
